Faces for the global movement of gender equality

March 4 – April 26
Building D (VUB), pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels

All over the world human rights activists fight for a more gender equal society and the guarantee of their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Unfortunately, these international voices are not always been heard. Every year UCOS gives the opportunity to 12 students (CHanGEmakers) to conduct research into powerful and inspiring initiatives in the south. During the last 18 months, 24 CHanGEmakers travelled in small groups to Congo, Cuba, India and Uganda. They returned with a baggage full of stories about everyday – and yet extraordinary – people from Congo, Cuba, India and Uganda.

Be inspired and visit our photo exhibition at the VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). Take a look through the lens of our CHanGEmakers outlining a personal image of these inspiring human rights activists worldwide!

Don’t hesitate to contact Bram Cleys if you have questions about the exhibition: bram.cleys@ucos.be

This exhibition is a result of the CHanGE project (Campaign on sexual health and gender equality), a UCOS project on gender equality and sexual and reproductive rights and health (SRHR). Together with our partners in the south and our students in the north, we are strengthening public support in Flanders for worldwide gender equality and access to SRHR. In this way UCOS contributes to a powerful international movement.
